UPDATE: Sawyer’s Fresh Market is NOW OPEN. Click here to learn more!
The first large grocery store recently broke ground on Paradise Island. Residents and visitors to Paradise Island, Bahamas can soon shop at Sawyer’s Fresh Market. With two locations currently operating in Freeport, Grand Bahama, the gourmet grocery store is set to open in Summer 2023. It will be a part of Paradise Landing, a developing luxury community that is home to Hurricane Hole Superyacht Marina.
The addition comes as a new development by Sterling Global. The company has been building and investing in the Bahamas for nearly 25 years.
Gourmet Grocery Selection at Sawyer’s Fresh Market
Sawyer’s Fresh Market at Paradise Landing will feature carefully selected gourmet groceries, including a full-service meat and seafood case and a deli featuring artisan sandwiches, rotisserie chicken, breakfast sandwiches, and a coffee bar. Fresh produce, including organic and locally grown products, will also be available in-store.
The Hurricane Hole yacht community can enjoy free dockside grocery delivery provided by Sawyer’s Fresh Market. To preserve the natural resources and beauty of The Bahamas, the store plans to use electric vehicles for delivery throughout the island.
Guests of the marina will have access to order groceries from Sawyers online and via a mobile app, which is set to be available for shoppers upon opening. The option to place large orders in advance for families and other special requests will also be available for all guests.
Hours of operation for Sawyer’s Fresh Market are expected to run from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, including Sundays. The hours are unique for a grocery store on the Island of The Bahamas. The extended hours of operation are intended to provide convenience to locals, visitors, and yachters.
Sawyer’s Fresh Market is only one of many developments coming to Paradise Landing. The luxury all-inclusive residential and yachting community on Paradise Island is expected to have several more amenities break ground in the coming years.
Hurricane Hole Superyacht Marina
Hurricane Hole Marina recently reopened after being completely renovated into a world-class yachting destination. Creating the expansion from underused upland allowed the marina to double in size without expanding into Nassau harbor. Featuring luxurious amenities and the latest in technology, the state-of-the-art renovation offers amply powered docking facilities with 24-hour security, fueling in slips, and Wi-Fi and internet connectivity. Hurricane Hole Superyacht Marina can now dock yachts up to 420 ft long with a 240-foot turning basin and a depth of 14 feet.
The expansion of the marina brought on an array of top-of-the-line facilities near the Paradise Landing community. The marina is adjacent to Sterling Commons, an engaging collection of residential, retail, and commercial properties. The luxury Residences of Paradise Landing and a waterfront-dining complex are currently in the works as the community continues to expand.
Luxury Retail and Residences of Paradise Landing
With the luxury redesign of the marina, Paradise Landing has become a luxury stop for many superyacht owners. However, Paradise Landing also welcomes captains and crews to enjoy state-of-the-art amenities, which include a swimming pool, gym, lounge, and more.
Many upscale amenities are available to captains and crew members within the Sterling Commons conveniently located next to the marina.
